RTCF Summer Family Retreat - 2013

“Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders!!”

RTCF held its FIRST Family Retreat on Aug 9-11 2013 @ Camp Piankatank Retreat Center in Hartfield, VA.

A Beautiful weekend, 2 days with our loving families and friends who made the retreat a memorable one, came into the fellowship with GOD and one another.

Our Dear most Uncle and Aunty (that’s how we all call them); Pastor Manuel Talaiver and Mano Talaiver led the RTCF members in "Christ Centered Life". It was a rejuvenating and inspiring time for all of us to think, meditate the Word of God and Worship with Hymns of Praise. It was evident that the Lord was doing a work in our lives as we sat under the sound preaching of God’s Word by Uncle. We learnt that each of us have the commission to influence our community and the world as we go about our days sharing the love, justice and truth of God and be an example of a Christ Centered Life.

Our Heartfelt Thanks to Uncle and Aunty for your prayers and for the reviving and thoughtful message.
"Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine"- 1 Timothy 5:17.

The retreat was a real TREAT or rather say 'No Boundaries' weekend for the Kids and even Adults to rock and roll with fun; I believe that each one of you has bottled-up the sense of Peace and Joy from our retreat and brought it back to our homes.

Fancy Cricket, Tough Competitive Volleyball, Kids intrigued by the white sand;
Panoramic and magnificent view of the Woods and the Winding River;
Early morning walks; The morning Worship by the river; the Sun shining upon us;
Smoked Corn, Grill by the Pool; Juicy BBQ; Games that dropped all barriers and burdens;
Melting Marshmallows by the campfire; Lyrics and Tune swap by our singer(s) LOL!
Tents built in the sunny summer breeze; Showers cooling down for a peaceful cozy sleep;
                                                                            (With few Lions and Tigers growling in;)
Food Food Food unlimited; And definitely NO Calories counts;
To Top it all Worship, Thanks Giving, Songs of Praise;
The fun list goes on and on; with memories we cherish in our hearts.

I bet we couldn't have asked for a better group of people. It would have been even greater if all of RTCF could have made it. We had so much fun and God Willingly we should all, even those who could not come this time should make it for our next retreat.

GOD BLESS & HAVE A GREAT DAY!
